Merton Council

Children and Young People Survey 2023

Description:

The Local Authority has a duty to make sure that young people have the means to live well and enjoy living in the borough of Merton. By hearing directly from as many young people as possible, we will have a better understanding of which services and facilities you feel are working well, and in what areas we need to improve. The questions within the survey were shaped by Merton Council’s Young Inspectors who are a group of young people who live or study in Merton. They are aged between 17 and 24 years old and support the local authority by inspecting the services we offer young people and highlighting the voice of young residents.

This is an anonymous survey and we would like you to be as open and honest as possible.

What you tell us will go on to inform our Children and Young People's Plan, which will help us support you and your families in the future.

If at any point you are unable to understand what a question is asking, please do ask a teacher or a trusted adult to help you.

We will keep your data to gain further understanding about your views. There is no identifiable data that will be included in any of our reports, this means we will not use your name or contact details. We may identify statements from young people by age.

Should you prefer to complete this survey on paper or in another accessible format, or you would simply like to know more about how we will use your information, please get in touch via the email to youth.participation@merton.gov.uk
