Merton Council

Review of Cumulative Impact Zones 2021

Description:

Review of Cumulative Impact Zones

Merton Council must review its Cumulative Impact Assessment at least every three years. This requires us to carry out an a assessment of the area, a Cumulative Impact Assessment, to establish whether there are any parts of the borough with a significant numbers of licensed premises and whether there is evidence to show that this is having an adverse impact on crime and disorder and public nuisance.
The Council carried out an analysis of its area and based upon the evidence available so far we are consulting on the following prosition:

  • Retention of the existing cumulative impact area of Wimbledon Town Centre for all licence types
  • Retention of the existing cumulative impact areas Mitcham Town Centre for off licences only
  • There is insufficient evidence to retain the existing zone in Wimbledon Village
  • It is not appropriate at this time to include any other area of the borough in the Cumulative Impact Assessment.

Please tell us what you think about these proposals by completing this short survey.
