Merton Council

Proposal to change PCN Band B to Band A

Description:
Over the past 4 years, effective enforcement of parking and traffic restrictions has not provided the necessary deterrent to improve the behaviour of some drivers. As a consequence Merton is considering a proposal to change parking PCN charges from the current Band B to a higher Band A.

The change of PCN from band B to band A will be a more effective deterrent to inconsiderate parking and should reduce the number of vehicles parking in contravention which causes additional congestion and can endanger other road users.

Merton wishes to seek the views of residents and anyone who parks in Merton about the proposal to increase the level of PCN charges.

More details on what this proposal means can be found on our website
