Merton Council

Merton Council Electoral Review 2020

Description:

Have your say on new political map of Merton

The independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England is asking people across Merton to comment on its draft recommendations for new council ward boundaries.

The Commission’s plans would mean changes to most wards in Merton. The Commission’s draft recommendations propose that Merton should have 57 councillors in future: this is 3 fewer than now. The recommendations also outline how those councillors should represent 17 three-councillor wards and 3 two-councillor wards across the borough.

The full recommendations and detailed interactive maps are available on the Commission’s website at consultation.lgbce.org.uk and www.lgbce.org.uk. Hard copies of the Commission’s report and maps will also be available to view at council buildings.

Summary of results:

The London Borough of Merton (Electoral Changes) Order 2020 was made on 30 November 2020.
