Merton's Local Flood Risk Management Strategy 2014/2015

In response to the severe flooding across parts of England and Wales in 2007, the Government enacted the Flood and Water Management Act 2010. The Council as Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) has a duty to co-ordinate ‘local flood risk management' in Merton.<

A main concern raised from the earlier community engagement was residents wanted critical gullies to be cleared and  better communication about flood risk. The strategy now reflects these priorities.
