Merton Council

Pollards Hill Space

Description:

We want to work with you to shape the future of this building and how we bring it back to life.

The former public toilets building on South Lodge Avenue has been disused for many years. Merton Council, with funding from the Mayor's Office, is working on options for the space with a collaborative design team led by Okra. The aim of this research is to find out what local people need and how to turn the building and the bus stop area into something useful, creative and exciting for Pollards Hill, while also improving the bus stop area.

As the people who know the site best, we would really love to hear the community’s opinions and ideas for its future use. We are currently in Phase 1 of the project, which focusses on research and engagement with Pollards Hill residents to understand what improvements are wanted and needed. We are reaching out to many local organisations including schools, businesses, the GP surgery and community groups.

Your responses will directly influence the proposals for the site’s development. We are keen to hear from as many residents as possible to ensure proposals meet your priorities, needs and aspirations - once we've heard from you we'll start to test ideas for the site. Visit our website find out more about the project and give your feedback in our questionnaires
