LOW TRAFFIC NEIGHBOURHOODS Commonside East

As part of Merton’s response in maintaining social distancing, removing rat running and to encourage safe walking and cycling, we will be introducing a temporary road closure on Commonside East near its junction with Spencer Road..

The proposed measure is being introduced under an Experimental Traffic Management Order, the restrictions and the Order will be in place for a maximum of 18 months. Anyone can object and make representations within the first six months of the experimental Order coming into force and the implementation of the works.

After careful consideration of all the feedback received during the statutory consultation and the questionnaire, it has been agreed to make the experimental LTN in Commonside East permanent. The permanent Order will be advertised on 28 October 2021 and will come into effect on 8 November 2021.
