The South London Waste Partnership are consulting on the South London Waste Plan. The partnership is made up of the following boroughs, Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton. Sutton Council are the project lead for the plan and all Waste Plan consultations on behalf of the named boroughs above.

What is the Issues and Preferred Options Document for the South London Waste Plan?

The Issues and Preferred Options Document for the South London Waste Plan is the initial consultation document for a new South London Waste Plan. It sets out the preferred strategy of Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton councils for the location of waste facilities and how planning applications will be decided.

If you prefer to read a paper version, documents are also available at Merton Civic Centre and all Merton’s libraries. 

Summary of results: 

The South London Waste Plan 2022 to 2037 was adopted on 7 November 2022 and now carries full weight in the consideration of planning applications. The new South London Waste Plan fully supersedes the 2012 version.
