The London Borough of Merton seeks to collect the views of parents and carers, on the availability of childcare within the borough.
For the purpose of this survey ‘childcare’ refers to formal childcare where an adult provides supervised care for a child. Often this provision is registered with Ofsted registered provision and is most used by working parents, for example a childminder, day nursery, pre-school, nursery classes breakfast clubs, after school clubs or holiday scheme.
Further support The Government is expanding their free early education and childcare entitlement for some working parents of children aged from 9 months until they start reception from 2024. To find out more about this support please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
