The London Borough of Merton is bidding to be the London Borough of Culture in 2027 and is seeking resident views on what the bid should like.

Launched in 2017, the Mayor of London’s Borough of Culture award aims to put culture at the heart of local communities, illustrating the unique identity and diversity of the capital’s boroughs. The announcement of the winning bid will be in March 2024 and the deadline for bid submissions is 30 November 2023. If successful the bid will bring significant funding into the borough to enhance cultural opportunities for residents.
